Guide
Subcontracting is where a firm in one country contracts with a firm in another country to provide a particular good or service, often as an input into the production process. (An example would be the clothing industry in which large retailers in industrialized countries often coordinate the production of garments, subcontracting the labor intensive parts of the process to firms in low-wage countries, many of whom employ primarily women.).
So Subcontracting it's delegation by one firm of a portion of its production process, under contract, to another firm, including in another country.
